Teachers’ vs. Learners’ Communicative Strategies in EFL Classes

Communicative competence and awareness of communicative strategies are vital factors in EFL learning. Due to their importance, this study aimed investigate the used by teachers learners. To end, 10 were randomly selected. One hundred fifty learners attending these classes also subjected study. The utterances produced participants recorded, transcribed, coded based on Dornyei’s taxonomy (1995). A mixed-method approach entailing both qualitative quantitative analysis was taken. findings indicated that while compensatory strategy most frequently (54%) learners, stalling or time gaining least one (19%) with avoidance (27%) placed between them., teachers, however, employed (63%), (11%) after (26%). Finally, further analysis, results chi-square test demonstrated a significant difference teachers’ learners’ use frequency. Language need be aware type frequency effective raise consciousness about appropriate efficient strategies.
